Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Olde English Goldendoodle?
This breed is a three way cross of the Olde English Sheepdog, the Golden Retriever, and the Poodle. This breed yields characteristics that offer a fun, loving, loyal and playful companion. One trait that really stands out in this breed is their loyalty. Our families that have puppies from previous litters rave about their temperaments. We have had two puppies serve in a local elementary as therapy dogs. Be sure to check out our pictures to see them being a companion that all the students have grown to love!
Does this breed shed?
The Olde English Goldendoodle is low shedding.
Is this breed good with kids?
YES! All our puppies are exposed to kids the minute they are born. The first two weeks are painful as we do not touch them unless we absolutely have to allow the mom to use her motherly intuition and for health reasons. This breed is a loyal, loving, playful companion that is fantastic for family with kids.
What vaccinations will the puppies have?
We follow our local veterinarian's recommendations for vaccinations. We administer all vaccinations ourselves. Puppies visit the vet prior to going to their new home for a final health check. In addition to vaccinations, we also remove dewclaws and administer wormer.
Can puppies be shipped?
They can. We have not had to do this yet so it would be a learning experience but we would be happy to accommodate and learn!
How old are the puppies when they are ready to go to their new home?
Our puppies are ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
How big does the Olde English Goldendoodle get?
We have found most of our puppies from Sullivan and Veda to be between 55-70 pounds.
